Is HEX Advisory Group vendor-neutral?

Yes. HEX is fully independent and does not sell technology, implementation services, or managed services. We do not receive referral fees, commissions, or incentives from service providers. Unlike many advisory firms that maintain paid research relationships or commercial partnerships with vendors, HEX has no pay-to-play model — our advice is aligned solely with client interests.
Who founded HEX Advisory Group?

HEX was founded by Sarthak Brahma, who previously established the Pricing & Benchmarking practice at Everest Group and later founded the IT-BPO Sourcing and Benchmarking Advisory practice at WGroup (subsequently acquired by Wavestone). In 2022, HEX acquired Wavestone’s benchmarking and health check business, including all benchmark data assets and India operations, to become an independent sourcing and benchmarking advisory firm.
How is HEX Advisory Group different from Gartner, ISG, Everest Group, or Big 4 firms?

HEX differs in three fundamental ways. First, our benchmarks are derived from actual advisory engagements and contracts, not research subscriptions or survey data. Second, we operate a practitioner-led model with no junior staffing — every engagement is led by senior advisors with 20+ years of hands-on sourcing experience. Third, HEX has no research line of business, vendor sponsorship programs, or commercial relationships with service providers, eliminating the conflicts of interest present at large analyst and consulting firms.
What is an outsourcing contract health check?

A contract health check is a comprehensive assessment of an active outsourcing contract covering pricing benchmarks, service level performance, governance effectiveness, terms and conditions adequacy, scope alignment, and transformation opportunities. HEX conducts health checks at contract mid-term or renewal to identify overbilling, right-sizing opportunities, and areas where the contract has fallen behind market evolution in technology, commercial models, or automation.
Does HEX support both new outsourcing deals and incumbent contract renegotiations?

Yes. HEX supports the full outsourcing lifecycle — from new sourcing strategy, RFP development, and vendor selection through to incumbent contract health checks, benchmark-led renegotiations, and ongoing vendor governance. HEX provides end-to-end GCC advisory including business case development for new (de-novo) GCCs, virtual GCC models, assisted BOT (Build-Operate-Transfer) structures, brownfield optimization for existing GCCs, and divestiture support.
